Class of 67 Reunion update!  50 Year Reunion!!!

Can you believe that it has been 50 years since we graduated?

We are finalizing the plans for our class reunion, and following are details confirmed at this point:

Date: Saturday, September 9th 2017.
Where: Lake Forest Park Civic Club on the shores of Lake Washington.
Time: 4:00 - 10:00
Menu: A catered buffet dinner of appetizers, prime rib, breast of chicken, sides, salad, and dessert.
Mike Fleming will MC the program. There will be time for reminiscing, special awards, reconnecting with childhood friends and sharing stories from the past and present. We know you have some so please share. Send Jan an e-mail at Jan1967NH@gmail.com.
Join us for a tour of the newly remodeled Nathan Hale on the afternoon of Friday the 8th.

Interested in a golf tournament? Please let Jan know ASAP, so Dan Wallace and Mick Swett can make plans. The class of ’67 reunion committee has been hard at work planning a memorable get together.  We hope you are excited for this once in a lifetime celebration!

The venue is reserved, the date and time set, and the caterer hired. Now we are looking for  memories and stories to be shared at the event. Where were you when the earthquake hit? What do you remember about Matthews Beach, cruising Dick’s, memorable teachers, classroom shenanigans, dances, 60’s music and more? Please send your anecdotes to Jan, to be read or posted, even if you cannot attend.

Golfers - please join us for an alumni links outing Saturday morning, day of the reunion. E-mail Jan at jan1967nh@gmail.com if you’re interested in participating.

Watch your June e-mail for complete reunion information and a registration form. The estimated cost will be about $55 per person. Presently, we are trying to get an idea of how many people to expect. Please help us by letting us know if you might attend by e-mailing Jan ASAP, again at jan1967nh@gmail.com.

Thanks,

Your Nathan Hale Reunion Committee

Dear Classmates,

Another reunion has come and gone. It was a great evening and of course ended too soon. Every time I turned around someone was telling me how great everything was.

The Civic Club was a perfect venue and the weather could not have been better. The committee pulled this reunion off in about 7 months when it usually takes much longer.

The challenge was we were acting as the caterers. We purchased everything from toothpicks, plates, food, serving bowls and spoons to dish soap. Each committee member had a job to do and they did it perfect. The day of the reunion was busy but everyone pitched in and got the job done. People started arriving around 3:30 and it was 11:00 before we closed everything up. I wanted to talk to everyone but just ran out of time. Many classmates are retired but still very busy.

The big question is what to do about the 50th reunion. Everyone liked the relaxed feeling of this reunion.

No program, just lots of time to visit.

Those who did come up to me, said to do what we did this time. No hotel. Sounds good to me but I think we may have it catered (or maybe not).

I would like your input. We are hoping to have the 50th reunion on the first weekend after Labor Day 2017.

We will use e-mail to contact you in the future so please let us know your current contact info. We look forward to hearing from you.
